Battle Mania Daiginjou
Battle Mania Daiginjou is a comical anime-themed horizontal shoot 'em up developed and published by Vic Tokai for the Sega Genesis. Released exclusively in Japan and South Korea in 1993, it is the sequel to Trouble Shooter (Battle Mania). Players control bounty hunters Mania and Maria as they battle through nine stages of chaotic, self-referential action, featuring a unique health system, customizable companion drone behavior, and multiple aiming modes.

Tentang Permainan Ini
Battle Mania Daiginjou expands upon its predecessor with refined mechanics and enhanced anime-style visuals. The game introduces three distinct control schemes: 1-Way (Mania always faces right, Maria covers the rear), 2-Way (both face the same direction for concentrated fire), and 8-Way (Mania can aim in any direction). This flexibility allows players to tailor the experience to their preferred playstyle.
The "PROBE" system returns with four programmable drones—Neo Thunder, Eraser, Benten Bomb, and Chainsaw—each offering unique super weapons that charge over time. Unlike traditional shooters, Mania features a health meter that can be expanded by collecting Life Up items, with no limit to maximum health. Maria follows as an invulnerable partner, providing constant support fire.
The game's charm lies in its irreverent humor and pop culture references, including parodies of Nintendo characters and tokusatsu heroes. The story follows the resurrected villain Morgstein and the mysterious cult leader Kikokusai, conveyed through entertaining cutscenes. Due to its limited print run and deep Japanese cultural references, Daiginjou never received an official English release, making it one of the most sought-after and expensive Sega Genesis titles among collectors, though a fan translation patch exists.
