Clay Fighter is a 1993 stop-motion clay animation fighting game for SNES featuring bizarre clay-modeled characters in humorous combat. As one of the first fighting games to use digitized claymation graphics, it stood out with its unique visual style and comedic tone amidst the Street Fighter II craze.

Developed by Visual Concepts, Clay Fighter offered a refreshing alternative to photorealistic fighters with its hand-sculpted clay characters including Blob the sentient mass of clay, Ickybod Clay the headless horseman, and Bad Mr. Frosty the evil snowman.
The game utilized actual clay models photographed frame-by-frame for animations, giving it a distinct look among 16-bit fighters. While the fighting mechanics were simpler than contemporaries, the exaggerated special moves and humorous sound effects created a party-friendly atmosphere.
Though not as technically polished as other SNES fighters, Clay Fighter gained a cult following for its originality. It spawned several sequels and remains notable as one of the few American-developed fighting games to achieve mainstream success in the 1990s.
