Vs. Excitebike is a motorcycle racing game developed and published by Nintendo for the Famicom Disk System. As a competitive version of the original Excitebike, it features head-to-head multiplayer racing with enhanced mechanics and track designs. Players control motocross bikes through challenging courses filled with jumps, bumps and obstacles.

Vs. Excitebike was designed by Nintendo's R&D1 team as a competitive adaptation of their hit 1984 motocross game. It introduced simultaneous two-player racing - a first for console motocross games at the time.
The game expanded upon the original with new track elements including conveyor belts, moving obstacles, and more complex jump sequences. The disk system allowed for saving custom tracks, a revolutionary feature in 1984.
Vs. Excitebike became a popular arcade conversion and helped establish Nintendo's reputation for quality racing games. Its physics system, particularly the air control mechanics, influenced numerous future racing titles.
The competitive versus mode created intense local multiplayer experiences that were rare in early console gaming. Many consider it the first true motocross racing game with proper multiplayer support.
