Rolling Thunder 2
Rolling Thunder 2 is a 1990 arcade run and gun game developed and published by Namco. The sequel to the 1986 original improves upon its predecessor with enhanced graphics, new weapons, and simultaneous two-player co-op. Players control agents Albatross and Leila as they infiltrate the criminal organization Geldra to rescue their kidnapped colleague.

Rolling Thunder 2 refined the series' signature gameplay with tighter controls, more varied enemy types, and the ability to switch between three different weapons (handgun, machine gun, and grenade launcher). The game introduced character-specific abilities - Albatross moves faster while Leila jumps higher.
The game's pseudo-3D perspective and multi-plane scrolling created a sense of depth uncommon in run and gun games of the era. Its spy thriller aesthetic, complete with secret doors and disguise mechanics, set it apart from contemporaries like Contra.
