About This Retro Game
Pokemon Legends Delta is an ambitious ROM hack by Delta Rangers, based on Pokémon Fire Red. Set during Hoenn's Industrial Revolution, players witness an era of expansion where humans push deeper into Pokémon territory. As tensions rise due to feral and aggressive Pokémon, the newly formed Ranger Union steps in to maintain balance. The source of this chaos traces back to the Sootopolis meteor, which crash-landed years ago and emits a mysterious energy affecting Pokémon behavior.
Players choose between two protagonists: Nolan, the grizzled leader of the Delta Rangers and ancestor of Brendan, or Orerick, a young battling prodigy and son of Mr. Stone, the architect of Hoenn's expansion. Their intertwined journey leads them on an expedition to the heart of the meteor crisis, uncovering secrets that will forever change Hoenn's future. The narrative is adapted from a novel, offering deep character development and branching dialogue based on your chosen protagonist.
The game introduces Ancient Hoenn (AH) Forms, featuring regional variants like Vigorking (a Slaking without the Truant ability) and Ice-type Skarmory. Powered by a Gen 8 battle engine with modern mechanics including planned Mega Evolutions, Quality-of-Life features such as Exp. All, Nature Mints, and an updated Repel system ensure a smooth experience. Currently in Public Beta with content up to the 1st Dungeon, active development focuses on expanding the open world and mount system.
