About This Retro Game
This hack retains FireRed's iconic Kanto setting and classic story progression, but heavily expands it around a simple question: 'What if every first-generation Pokémon kept evolving?' Every original Pokémon receives at least two new evolutionary stages, meaning players will encounter unexpected final forms and branching paths when raising their teams.
Beyond the new evolutions, Pokémon Evolved also rebalances stats, learnsets, and evolution levels for select Pokémon, adding greater variety to team building and battle pacing. Wild encounters have been reworked so that all of the original 151 are catchable in a single playthrough, making it easy to complete the expanded Pokédex and explore different evolution branches.
All newly added Pokémon come with custom front and back sprites, original Pokédex text, and shiny palettes. The result feels like a creative expansion built entirely around the classic first-generation lineup. For anyone who loves the Kanto region but craves a fresh sense of discovery, Pokémon Evolved offers a familiar yet surprise-filled ROM hack adventure.
