About This Retro Game
Developed as the spiritual successor to Super Mario 64, this game revolutionizes the sandbox formula by introducing seamless dimension-switching mechanics. Mario can open portals between realities mid-jump, using the physics of different worlds to solve puzzles: reverse gravity in the Negative Zone, manipulate time in Clockwork Eternity, and swim through clouds in the aerial kingdom of Zephyria.
Each of the 9 unique dimensions features its own distinct visual identity, enemies, and power-ups. Don the Pixel Mario cap to transform into an 8-bit sprite that can phase through retro-style block walls, or grab the Cosmic Star to trigger a 'Multiverse Frenzy' that temporarily merges two dimensions into one chaotic playground filled with exclusive collectibles.
The game features a fully voiced narrative with over 40 minutes of cutscenes, including encounters with alternate versions of beloved characters like Wario the Wasteland Warlord, a genius inventor Princess Peach, and a timid yet brilliant Luigi who holds the key to sealing the Void. A split-screen Versus Mode also allows up to 4 players to compete in dimension-shifting races across remixed iconic landmarks.
